LGBT: ALL OUT

All Out is an independent movement that relies on support from its members and supporters to grow and thrive.

All Out are an amazing organisation who fight for equal rights for LGBT people all around the world. They highlight severely important issues, both in the UK and US, to countries worldwide where the human rights and health & safety of members of the community are at risk.

ADDING PEOPLE POWER TO THE HISTORIC FIGHT FOR LGBT EQUALITY
It literally is as simple as signing a petition to get an App removed from App/Android Store, or donating just £5 for some causes. FIVE pounds - that's less than you will spend on your lunch from Pret or Leon or Nandos this week.

It is such an incredible organisation, and it can only continue if we all help. Sign up, share with your friends, family and colleagues, and help to make a change.

And they keep on coming.

LGBT NEWS: Russia - Gay man dead after being raped with beer bottles and skull smashed

A 23 year old man was found dead on Friday after a horrific attack that left him with a smashed skull. The attack took place in Volgograd, Russia. ‘He was raped with beer bottles and had his skull smashed with a stone,’ Natalia Kunitskaya, a spokeswoman for the Volgograd region branch of the Investigative Committee reported.

Both the attackers are in their 20s and have both been arrested. This only adds to the increasing level of homophobia in Russia at the moment, following the highly publicised 'Gay Propaganda' bill in Moscow and the Gay Pride organiser who was attacked earlier this year.

CELEB: Reese Witherspoon Arrested

Reese's booking photo
The 37 year old was arrested for disorderly conduct on Friday after her and her husband were pulled over on suspicion of drunk-driving. While her husband was being tested on the side of the road she got a bit too big for her heels, and was noted as saying things such as "Do you know my name?", and "You're about to find out who I am... You're going to be on national news!"

Girl. No.

LGBT: Equal Marriage Now Legal in New Zealand!

Congrats Kiwis!

Law Makers voted 77 to 44 in favour of the gay-marriage bill and made New Zealand the 11th country to make it legal, joining Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and Uruguay in allowing gay couples the right to equal marriage!

As the announcement was read, people viewing from the gallery spontaneously began singing Pokarekare Ana - a New Zealand love song. BEAUTIFUL.

WORLD: Sydney Mardi Gras Police Brutality

All details taken from the YouTube account:
Sydney Mardi Gras 2013 between 11- 11:30pm
Pavement just off Oxford St, Corner of Riley and Burton Street
Assaulting officer - FAIRFIELD LAC 266
The level of force used by this Officer is absolutely sickening. The fact that the man is cuffed, and is still THROWN to the floor with such force is horrific! It seems that no matter how many incidents of this sort happen around the world, Police Officers still think it's alright to use excessive force when dealing with incidents. No matter what had happened before the arrest, the force and aggression is totally unnecessary.

LGBT: LGBT -> GSD

Above is a headline on Huffington Post today. Pink Therapy, a London-based therapy group believe that the term LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender [also Q for queer/questioning]) should be changed to GSD (Gender and Sexual Diversities).

In the video (below), two directors for Pink Therapy, Dominic Davies and Pamela Gawler-Wright, say that it is time to change this label in order to allow other diversities and groups into the 'spectrum' because too many are still currently excluded. In this 'excluded' bracket, they name swingers, members of the polyamorous community, and those within the BDSM community.

NEWS: Oscar Pistorius

So sad to hear this. Oscar Pistorius was detained this morning for the murder of his girlfriend, model Reeva Steenkamp, who died of gunshot wounds.

It was alleged earlier that Pistorius had mistaken his girlfriend for an intruder, but this was denied by South African police officials. It was confirmed however that they have responded previously to 'disturbances of a domestic nature' at the home of the Paralympic star.
