It was alleged earlier that Pistorius had mistaken his girlfriend for an intruder, but this was denied by South African police officials. It was confirmed however that they have responded previously to 'disturbances of a domestic nature' at the home of the Paralympic star.
Pistorius made history at the London 2012 Games when he became the first double amputee to compete in both the Olympic and Paralympic games. Since then he has become world-famous, with endorsements and work from BT, GQ, Oakley, Thierry Mugler and Nike to name a few.

It's so sad to think what happens behind closed doors, especially when it's someone that appeared to be a successful, inspiring and talented man. I'm sure there will be more revealed as this story develops.
